Chennai is our home port, and the only one where the store, the transport and the operations desk are all in the same city as the berth. It works containers, automobiles, bulk, tankers and general cargo, and we deliver both alongside and to vessels waiting at anchorage.
Working Chennai
- Stocked requirements are planned for delivery within 24 hours of confirmation; allow 48 to 72 hours for items sourced from other states or needing extra customs processing.
- Stores cannot be gated in until the agent has completed customs entry, and drivers and helpers need ISPS passes arranged in advance.
- Container, general cargo and Ro-Ro areas each carry their own gate arrangements, and road access is timed around city traffic as much as around the vessel.
- Anchorage deliveries go out by launch arranged with the vessel's agent; the north-east monsoon, October to December, can close the boat window.
How we supply Chennai
Supplied directly from our own Chennai store under the ISO 9001:2015 quality system, with fresh and frozen provisions moving in our own AC trucks — no intermediary, and no repacking between the cold room and the vessel. In September 2026 we supplied a vessel here with ISPS security equipment: night-vision binoculars, inspection mirrors, batons, an alcohol meter and 70 security seals.
